
It is an advanced version of the 'beep' test that was used by teams of earlier generations. The current Indian team is considered to be the fittest by a fair distance.
The level one
test is effectively the same as the standard beep
test. The Level 2 test starts at a higher
running speed and has different increments in speed (see Yo-Yo
Endurance Test Levels). There is also an intermittent
version of the Yo-Yo test, which incorporates a
recovery period after each 40m (2x20m) run.
Effect on Players - At 30, Raina still has age on his
side, but the lack of game time over the last one year and a half has made him
a sloucher version of himself. He, along with the 35-year-old Yuvraj, not to
